Our little story...
Dunskey Castle appeared to us when we visited Portpatrick on the 29th of October, during the week with Julien's mother and aunt. Inaccessible in theory, the castle was surrounded by metal fences. Mais one of the fences was sagged, creating a free access to the ruined castle. Walls were recovered by moss, stone stairs were covered by grass. We went upstairs, without knowing if we were inside or outside. \nThis is not the first time in the entiere life of the castle that it is in ruins. Built during the 14th century, it was quickly destroyed by the McCulloch of Myrton and Cardoness. The moat is the only witness of this first medieval era. The principal part of the castle we can see nowadays was built by Adair of Kinhilt family.
